I am also attempting to get everything prepared for Christmas so that I am under no pressure. I have crocheted some washcloths ready for little stocking gifts and for the guest bedroom. A fun easy make which will make you smile.
A reindeer and a cracker have been done so far, who knows what else will appear.
I have been browsing Wedding Details and Christmas Details, both by Mary Norden. Both books are quite inspiring, they are not makes just elements of a Wedding or Christmas to add classy finishing touches that enchant and impress.
I have just started to read Notes on a Scandal by Zoe Heller that has had good reviews, but it is early days yet so I haven't formed an opinion.
I am once again joining Ginny over at Small Things for the yarn along.
What are you creating and reading?
See you soon.
Your little reindeer is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas washcloths are darling! Have fun, sweet lady! Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteLove the reindeer washcloth, what a perfect idea. You are way ahead of me, I think there will not be much in the way of homemade presents this year.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
Great work for wedding..

Miss.
The Borders sticker takes you back, I wish we still had Borders!
ReplyDeleteyou are busy and it seems that you are getting a lot done. I find I'm much happier when I start early, less pressure! Love the little wash cloths :)
ReplyDeleteClever makes! Did you put traditional treats in the Cracker? I am reading: Facing East by Mathewes-Green, The Orthodox Way and The Orthodox Church by Timothy Ware [finding some humor in the first :) and all of them interesting in fact] xx
ReplyDeleteThe reindeer has soap and the cracker has shower gel, these are for the guest bedroom. Specific ones for stockings will be filled to suit the recipient.
DeleteLove your wash cloths, who could resist homemade lovelies. Hope the coasters are ready to show soon-love wool creations but wood is something else, very organic and tactile.
ReplyDeleteI miss reading-just need a few more hours.....or a holiday! maybe next year.
