A Long Overdue Update

Finally the stress and worry of selling our home is over.  The boxes and furniture are in storage on the Isle of Lewis awaiting our arrival.  We have had our offer accepted on a lovely croft cottage and the searches and paperwork are in the process of being completed.  Exciting times, our adventure has begun.  It has been a long time in the planning and we are so excited for our new lives to begin.  In the meantime we are being incessantly teased by our daughters about our homeless status.  We have been making the most of the gap by spending quality time with them.

Last weekend we headed up to Hartlepool to spend some time with Lucy and the girls, it was certainly fun watching the girls at their dance class.  They are coming on in leaps and bounds, they are budding stars in the making.  They certainly have the poise and elegance to become great dancers, they are certainly enthusiastic about whatever they do.  The park is always on top of the agenda and we certainly had the weather for it.

We are at the moment visiting Victoria in Norwich with plans to go to Ampthill tomorrow to visit Amie before finally heading off to Manchester for our flight to Florida.  On our return we will be taking a leisurely drive through Scotland before making our way to the port and our new home.  We have so many plans.  The cottage has a large outbuilding which we plan to have converted into a workshop and craftroom, we are thrilled to finally fulfil the dream.

We found some great inspiration whilst on a trip to Norwich Castle, they had an amazing dolls house exhibition on loan from the V & A Museum of Childhood.  It was a joy to see them.  It was also a delight to become part of the miniature world and reenact  some of the displays.

Wilbur was thrilled showing us around and telling us all about previous visits.  It  certainly is a very child friendly place, with lots of additions for children throughout.

We went in to the Castle Keep which is the oldest part of the castle and certainly has the wow factor on entry.  I would certainly recommend a visit if you are in the area, a great day out for both young and old.

Our adventure continues with lots of window shopping, fabric samples and décor ideas.  I will try to catch up with you over the next few days but hope all is well with you.

See you soon.
