Garden Update

The garden this year has been a real delight, a little slow in some places when I look at other blogs but quite productive this year.  The tomatoes are finally beginning to turn red so at long last I am able to pick some on a daily basis.

The peppers have been the best yet, in fairness they are kept in a mini greenhouse unless its red hot.

The purple sprouting broccoli has been a real delight I have managed to put a fair amount into the freezer.

The cabbage is still going strong, I did manage to swap a couple of cabbage with next door for some pears and they have also been gifted to friends and family.

The dwarf runner beans have been plentiful so we have been able to freeze some.

Finally the courgettes and spring onions have come to a natural end.  The lettuce is still going strong we have that everyday and sometimes twice.

Hope you have enjoyed my little tour around my garden.

See you soon.

  6. wow you have done so well in the garden-especially the purple flowering broccoli-mine was a flop last year so didn't bother this year, nice to see what it really looks like grown at home...and your peppers-impressed, well done and enjoy.

  7. all the vegetables look delicious; I only have tomatoes and herbs, and the raccoon is eating my tomatoes as fast as they ripen! My first visit to your blog; I will be back. I liked your previous post esp. the vintage ads.

  10. Your garden is going faster than mine! Mine is slow....one cucumber and I think they have a disease so it's the only cucumber. Our tomatoes are not red yet and our peppers are continuing to grow!

  14. what a haul from your garden!!! i'm hoping the cabbage i have isn't totally riddled with bites and bugs....my 'big tomatoes' are all still green, and the zucchini are just now starting to come in. I have high hopes for something besides currant tomatoes which is all I've got so far!!!!!!! (and mint!)
