Family Visit

What a wonderful few days I have had, first my youngest daughter with her 2 daughters came to visit. Then my eldest daughter and her husband and son came to visit.  A wonderful time had by all.  My apologies for my lack of blog posts and visits I will try to catch up with you all soon, my family comes first as I don't live near to them so time spent together becomes precious.

Crafting with Granny, making pictures so that every family member had a token gift from Lily, how thoughtful is that for a 3year old?

Playing in the park, enjoying each others company chatting about past adventures and planning new ones.

Sharing a picnic that we all had fun preparing.  Some of the simple pleasures in life.

Chasing butterflies.

Strawberry picking, enjoying the thrill of the find and eating more than you pick.  Does it get any better?  Then going home and baking scones to go with them for afternoon tea.  I intend to go back to pick more for the jam making I didn't want to risk getting the children involved in jam making, they are a little too young  and unpredictable around hot things.

2 cousins catching up with each other.
2 sisters sharing a good book.

Wilbur loving the house and the rocking horse.  Treasured family memories.  So today will be spent clearing away the mountain of toys that the children want out all at once, cleaning, making up fresh beds, washing and ironing.  Getting ready for the next visitors.

See you soon.
