I have had a busy week crafting trying to replace the stock I sold at a recent fair at Tattersall Lakes. However I have still managed to complete the baby blanket ready for a new arrival in the Autumn. I edged the blanket with a double picot in different colour yarn, so it looks quite effective, I am quite pleased with the end result.
I had some fun winding the left over yarn into neat little balls, using the vintage speedy wool winder. It wasn't easy to attach it to the table, but it all came good in the end.
I have started another baby blanket in a beautiful baby blue yarn, unfortunately the photos and light do no reflect the true colour of the yarn. It has a wonderful fleck in which really gives it depth. Maybe next week I will get some better shots.
Finally I have been working on some lacy stars in preparation for Christmas, I was determined to get started early this year so I wasn't under pressure like last year. The wedding is late November also, so it will be a busy time.
I haven't achieved a great amount of reading, I have browsed a lot of books on Florida. We are planning another trip so are looking for some different places of interest to visit.
Once again joining in with Ginny for the yarn along.
See you soon.

ReplyDeleteI love both blankets, they are so lovely and will be treasured. Speaking of Florida (where I live) I think you should try more out of the way places to stay, The Keys, Cedar Key, Sanibel Island, St. Augustine, they are all so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
