I am going to reuse the Easter/Spring wreath from last year but I did need a new wreath for the front door to welcome visitors to our little cottage. Some silk flowers and a glue gun with a few ivy leaves added to the mix made for quite the statement piece.
I have made a start painting some clothes hangers to embellish with a shabby chic flower. These are to be used as gifts with a shawl/cowl/scarf hanging on them.
What are you working on?
For Teresa the exterior of the castle visit from my previous post.
As always I do thank you for your visit and your encouraging comments.
See you soon.
It's only when you put everything together that you see how all the little things really add up. I love the wreath.
ReplyDeleteI'm catching up on reading here. This is for the past post and this one. WOW that castle! Beautiful inside and out. That must have been quite the storm. I like the wreaths. The hanger is adorable too.
ReplyDeleteThe wreath is a gorgeous welcome! I love the shabby chic flower hangers and what a great way to give a scarf/cowl ( 2 gifts in one! ) Best, Jane x
ReplyDeleteI love your wreath - looks great!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done any crafting in forever, maybe next week.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by!! Love the wreath but that sweet hanger really caught my eye!! So pretty!! The castle is spectacular!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Debbie
It pays to look back on your work. You then notice that you have done more, than you thought!!!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd lovely work it is, too.
Love you castle pictures! Your spring wreath is a happy greet at the front door with the pretty roses.
ReplyDeleteI have been catching up on reading since I have had the flu. Hopefully more full swing next week.
I love seeing your crafts and beautiful needle work.
betsy
The wreath is turning out great. The Santa wreath is giving me ideas... wouldn't it be cute to have an all-white wreath representing snow with a little forest of crocheted firs for a forest? Maybe I'm nuts. Ha!
ReplyDeleteI like that spring wreath, too. Is it too late to paint the Welcome sign? It would make it pop all the more.
No projects because I don't do a lot of knitting or crochet these days...tired, cranky hands, but I want to be sewing. Alas, my machine is in the hospital for repairs.
Lovely makes! I admit that I haven't been feeling too crafty lately. Glad you got your scrapbook done. It sounds like it will be a lovely way to remember the holidays.
ReplyDeleteLove the flower on the hanger (actually love everything) and can feel an attack of craft plagiarism coming on! Hope you don't mind.
ReplyDeleteI love the welcome wreath.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I should have an update on handiwork tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteYour welcome wreath is very pretty:)
ReplyDeleteThe Welcome wreath makes me feel welcome clear across the
ReplyDeletepond😃 All your crafting encourages me to get busy...just been knitting a few rows and making a card over here. xx
I love the welcome wreath
ReplyDeleteIt's good to have a look back at your accomplishments of the week. Your welcome wreath is very nice. I need to hang a Spring wreath as I just removed the Snowman wreath that was welcoming guests to our side entrance. I've been working on embroidering two pillow cases. It's a slow process that I work on in the evenings.
ReplyDeleteI always read your lovely posts but haven't commented before. Your wreaths look fab ,you have great ideas . I'm knitting baby blankets for twins expected in our family in July-- so exciting. I've also started a scarf to put in my present box and have just finished some cross stitch. Take care
ReplyDeleteNice wreath. I'm assuming it hangs within a porch, not open to the wild winds you often have.
ReplyDeleteWith the weather beginning to be milder I'm outside cleaning up the debris that winter and the roofers left behind.
Lovely makes. It's helpful to look back and see what's actually been accomplished sometimes. It's usually more than what one thought and gives a boost to one's feelings!
ReplyDeleteI love your welcome wreath! What I wouldn't give to be able to knock on your door for a visit. Thank you SO much for the exterior shots of the castle.. I wish I could live there. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteYou have done more crafting this week than I have - good for you!

ReplyDeleteBrilliant, that Christmas wreath gets better and better!
ReplyDeleteThe welcome wreath is beautiful, simple and stylish. I do love the Christmas one but try to keep thoughts of Christmas out of my mind until I have had a summer. ;)
ReplyDeleteI like your wreath, such a welcoming gesture for anyone visiting you. I hope it stays firmly in place with all the blustery weather we've had lately. x
ReplyDeleteI love your Welcome wreath it looks so romantic ! The Christmas wreath will look nice when it's December, lol now I wait for warm weather and spring and flowers !!
ReplyDeleteOnce again, thanks so much for stopping by!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Debbie
