The ever changing skies and seas, a beautiful sight to behold. The crashing waves on the rocks flooding every crevice with salt water and then rolling backwards into another wave.
A stroll along the wall listening to the crashing waves and ever pounding rhythm of the tide.
Back into the car and a few minutes later we sat and admired the beauty of the colourful rainbow, a true feast for the eyes.
Another chorus of crashing waves and then a pool of foam as the constant thrashing of the sea hits the rocks.
Back home, just in time for tea and another downpour of rain. Yes, another rainbow...
The vibrant colours of the rainbow against the grey clouds brightening my day.
See you soon.
Love your photos. And the words to go with them!
ReplyDeleteOh my!
ReplyDeleteThose rainbows are so lovely!
Happy fall, my friend.
It is dark and chilly here! So cozy!
I love sunny autumn days with blue skies but a rainbow goes a long way to brightening up a dull, grey sky.
ReplyDeleteYou captured the beauty of the sea and then the rainbows perfectly.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are amazing! Thank you for sharing them with us. We love the sea also but live an 8 hour driveaway. It has been several years since we saw the ocean and both Dennis and I miss it. Thank you for taking us there through your photos.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Betsy
I think you have found your pot of gold, Lorraine. Your lovely island is beautiful with its crashing waves and rolling sea that surround you! Such lovely photos and the rainbows--wonderful! ♥
ReplyDeleteAhhhh Thank you for a trip to the sea, Lorraine. I had a lovely time and enjoyed the crashing waves and rainbows, too! xx
ReplyDeleteIt seems that pot of gold might be deep in the sea. I suppose the crashing waves continually wear away at the rocky coast. It is all so beautiful, but frightening at the same time.
ReplyDeleteSo much sky! And lovely rainbow photographs. Oh, for that pot of gold. I only discovered yesterday that one of Lily's favourite TV shows was filmed on Lewis. You are so fortunate to live where you do, it's beautiful. X
ReplyDeleteThe weather looks really changeable but always beautiful despite the rain. 😊
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful and wild landscape ! It's been a long time I haven't seen a rainbow ! I hope you will find the pot of gold !! One never knows !
ReplyDeleteYou live in a beautiful island. Beautiful rainbows. Somewhere out there is the pot of gold!
ReplyDeleteI would love to live by the sea MM.
ReplyDeleteThe rainbows are just beautiful.
Hugs-x-
Gorgeous shades of blues and rainbows !

Anna
Beautiful rainbows! Surely, you can find that pot of gold given so many chances. 😉
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful walk, I really do miss having a walk along the beach, no beaches here I'm afraid. I hope you found your pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, your walk looks wonderful and how super to see the rainbows:)
ReplyDeleteWhat stunning pictures, my friend. Happy Fall to you and yours. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteyou take the prettiest shore photos!! Lovely :)
ReplyDeleteThe sea is infinitely beautiful and interesting. You've captured it well in your words and photos. Rainbows, and rain showers and tea all sound like a great mix for an autumn day.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to have heard the sound of those big waves crashing on the rocky shores. You really got some outstanding photos on your outing! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your rainbow and wave photos! I enjoy the ocean too and was glad to be there the other week. It's warmer this week but cool evenings. This eve after work I spent time going to favorite store and found 3 long sleeved tops that will work great fall and winter...layer time and a short sleeve sweater for layering. Hope to have some rain again soon here in our part of Oregon. Glad you and Gerard had a good day out! Take care my friend!
ReplyDeletewow, that looks glorious. I love coasts at this time of year.

DeleteA lovely outing despite the weather, taking the chance to go out and look at all that beauty you saw. Well worth it and such fun seeing all the rainbows.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos . . . your island is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping you find that pot of gold.
God bless,
Connie :)
I meant to reply to the comment you left on my blog: I love it, too! Canning our food is new to us. We started three summers ago with only tomatoes and it has grown into a winter pantry filled with all kinds of goodies from the garden. It should save us a little as well as help us eat better and heather, now that we are retired and need to be fugal.
ReplyDeleteKeep Smiling!
Connie :)
The sound of the sea must be mesmerising. Wonderful photos of the crashing waves, the shoreline and little harbour. Love the rainbow.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy the photos of your beautiful island. The rainbow was frosting on the cake.
