Winter Project Link Party

I am once again joining Jennifer over at Thistlebear for the Winter Project Link Party.  My Winter project is a crochet throw for the sofa in the lounge.  I have been working on it for some time but keep getting side tracked with other projects.  Unfortunately my Winter project is always usurped and is always left languishing in the basket.  News of two of my daughters having babies has kept my crochet hook busy, in fact it has been working in overdrive to get the blankets ready.  I am now in the final stages of the last one.

Only two quilts to be stitched and the babies are finished.  I am hopeful they will be finished before the babies arrive.

Christmas and all that brings also put the true Winter Project to one side, yet again!

I keep telling myself that I am committed.  I keep telling myself that I really want a new throw.  But...
everything else is a priority!

A few granny squares have been added, but progress is definitely SLOW.

Progress is slow, but some progress is better than no progress.  So I have to be content with that and will try to do better for next month.

Have you got a Winter project that you are working on?

See you soon.

  5. I do so love the colours of your granny squares. I've still got a Christmas quilt and a Quilt for Ruby unfinished. I am putting them in the UFO box and will get to them when I am in the mood.
When are your babies due? Our second grandbaby is due in March....can't wait-x-

  6. Two grandbabies expected?! How exciting...nothing like a bumper crop. I am not working on anything, though one day soon, I'll be back to the sewing room.

  7. Granny Squares always seem so easy to put aside. I really like the yarn you are using on them. Of course, crocheting and quilting for new babies always trumps anything else. Enjoy your stitching no matter what it is. Best wishes for your daughters and those babies.

  8. Good job on your crocheting. I've been making baby booties and I've got many things on the hook and one on needles.

  15. Slow progress is better than no progress. I'm finding that it's taking longer to get back into a "normal" routine than I thought it would. I hope that you manage to find more crafting time over the next month.

  17. That is so true. I have a couple of longer term projects that I really thought I would be finished with by now but you are right they are 'usurped' by other quicker ones. C'est la vie.

  19. You accomplish so much! If only I could make a few of the pretty things that you make. Just noticed that's my daughter Lynn above. :)

  20. A crochet throw is my winter project as well, but you are way ahead of me. I have 30 granny squares so far and I'm challenging myself to tuck the ends as I go so :-)

  22. I like having a main project to come back to in between making other things and new babies must definitely take precedence.

  23. I think having a main project to come back to in between the smaller ones is the way to go. I'm so excited for you to have the new babies coming! Thank you for joining in with my link party.
