Towel Transformation

I have had a couple of hours of fun sorting through the vintage trims.  Remembering where they came from and wondering at times about the life they had before finding there way to me.  I love some of the vibrant colours and really admire some of the work that has gone into the making of these beautiful adornments. 

 

After playing around with the trims I finally got around to embellishing the guest towels.

 

 

There were a lot of choices to make, but after a lot of deliberation I pinned some options together.

 

 

Some straight line sewing on the trusty singer and six towels later...Tah! Dah!

 

 

All ready to go into the cloakroom.  A simple plain towel transformed, into a thing of beauty.
