The sun was shining and although cold blew the cobwebs away. It was a joy to take a stroll and find a little shelter from the wind.
Sadly despite a little sun it was still cold so we didn't linger for too long and were thankful no other vehicles wanted access... see for yourselves!
On our drive home we were rewarded with a view of the first lambs that we have seen this season. What a joy.
Sadly, the temperatures have once more plummeted and we are back to howling winds and rain. The ferries are cancelled today too. I do hope that the weather improves soon, our first set of visitors arrive on Monday. They are due to fly to Inverness and then travel over to the Island via the Ferry.
As always I thank you for your visit to this blog and hope you enjoy some of my little adventures through life.
See you soon.
what a beautiful place to walk, I enjoyed seeing this today, thank you.
ReplyDeleteYour island is beautiful and so varied. I hope your visitors can make the trip to see you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. You Island is beautiful. Those sheep look as if they need to be sheared soon. Lovely wool.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful scenery. As always, it's such a joy to see your photographs. I hope the weather improves in time for your visitors. X
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing, with the pebble beach and the rocks, then the sheep that could be Wales. The sky is so blue, it was like that here for a while but we are back to grey, rain and hail again.
ReplyDeleteMakes you wonder how the lambs survive in such weather doesn’t it. Lovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky, to live where you live. It is so, so, so beautiful. !!!!!!
ReplyDelete✨✨✨✨
Gorgeous photos! I love a bracing walk on the beach, but you have to walk with your back to the wind or you'll get a sandblasted face!! Our beach is very wide and flat and no rocks ( although the sea does come over the seawall farther up the coast when it's rough weather )Best, Jane x
ReplyDeleteDarling lambs...did you also find your own cottage from a new direction?
ReplyDeleteIt is so beautiful! I would have loved to walk there, thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a magical place to call home! I could almost hear the waves of the sea. And those precious little lambs are just so adorable. Blessing to you!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is stunning where you live! It is a shame that winter has returned but hopefully, it is just for a few days.

ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful. It's really cold here again but nice and bright, great for another walk!
ReplyDeleteThe views of the ocean always make me happy. And of course the new baby lambs do as well. Hopefully the weather will improve for your visitors.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to see seascapes and even though it seemed a bit chilly you at least had some sunshine on your outing, Lorraine.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures. We had warm weather today, that dissolved into fairly strong winds. I was wondering what the noise on my front porch was and saw that our little bistro table had traveled from its corner towards the front door. I hope the weather works out for you and your visitors. Loved seeing those lambs.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pictures! We had snow showers yesterday and temperatures in the low 30's and today we were in the 70's! Crazy weather lately! Enjoy the rest of your week!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Jill
You are blessed with great view. I am sure your visitors will enjoy visiting and enjoying the seascapes and looking at the new lambs. Hope the ferry will be back in operation for your visitors to arrive.

ReplyDeleteI bet that visit was so relaxing next to the water. Such beautiful photos too. Just an FYI, one of your comments on here is a "escort service" you may want to delete them.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to to have the beaches so close... I too love the view and sound of waves...Your pictures were so relaxing ... but I laughed to see how thick the sheep coats were...It's probably a strong indication of the chilly weather...You live in such a idyllic part of the world...It's beautiful....Hugs
ReplyDeleteOh how sweet those lambs are. What a stunning setting. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about the sea giving an unending variety of views. Sky, water, and land combine in so much beauty. Lovely photos of your outing.
ReplyDeleteIt must be wonderful to live so close to water! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteOh, the lambs! Lambing time on the island would be my favorite. Your visitors will feast in the delights of your beautiful island. Wow!
ReplyDeleteI like the winding roads between the stone walls. The worn rocks at the seaside are really interesting.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your scenic adventure.. I never tire of images of the sea and beaches and the cute little lambs. I do hope the weather cooperates so your dear family can safely arrive to your cottage. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteWhen driving to CA last week we took the inland route which means we did not get to see the sea, so I especially appreciate this post, and seeing the precious lambs, too. Thanks, Lorraine xx
ReplyDeleteOnce again your photographs are a joy to see. The views of the ocean are wonderful and I feel as if I can hear the sea as I type this!
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to see the baby lambs.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your weather improves for your family visitors. Have a wonderful time together.
All the best Jan
Lovely to see your photos, thank you for sharing. I did Geology as part of my OU degree, I'm no expert but thoroughly enjoyed the course. Seeing the rock formation outcrops at their strange inclines again, brings 'some' of it back. Fascinating. Cathy x
ReplyDeleteLambing time is such a fun season. I wouldn't get a thing done for hanging over the fence, watching them play.
