The wonderful array of colour will enhance our little cottage and brighten these bleak days that we are encountering at the moment. I have placed them in a walled area so they are sheltered from the harshest of weather, particularly the winds.
Progress has been slow on the tyres, but we are hopeful they should be finished soon. I will share them with you shortly.
Whilst I had the sewing machine out for Christmas gifts, I did run up a Lego figures throw for Wilbur. A very quick and easy make that I know he will appreciate and love.
Just need to wrap it up for the post. Its nice to spoil our Grandchildren now and again.
Progress is slow in this neck of the woods, our list of jobs gets longer as we are unable and certainly unwilling to brave the elements. Tomorrow is another day...
See you soon.
I hope your little pots of colour brighten your days until the weather improves for you.
ReplyDeleteThe throw is lovely. Lucky Wilbur. X
Enjoy the climate. Waiting to see all your pots have flowers on them.Take care:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely throw! I'm sure he'll love it.
ReplyDeleteSorry the weather has been so bleak. Your flowers are sure to cheer you up hopefully. We're having a few grey days here but I'm thankful it's finally warmer than it was in the winter - it's nice to be able to have the windows open for at least a little while!
I always love seeing your gifts you make. Our weather just took a turn to cold.
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly much cooler again here than it has been. Glad you managed to get your pots planted up, they'll bring some welcome cheer to your garden once they begin to flower. I'm a big fan of geraniums, they're able to tolerate so much of what the weather has to throw at them. The throw is lovely, I'm sure Wilbur will be thrilled.
ReplyDeleteHoping you get some good weather soon. I just need some energy.
ReplyDeleteIt's so frustrating to be scuppered by the weather all the time isn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt's gone quite cold here today. Even though we have some sun there is quite a hefty wind blowing. The heating thermometer is saying that we could switch it on today but I'll wait until this evening and see how we are doing.
Wilbur's throw is gorgeous.
Hugs-x-
Your flowers look so lovely against your white cottage! I'm sure that brings sunshiny thoughts to you. I understand about the jobs around home. Our list is long as well and we try to tackle one at a time. I love your sweet little Lego throw! ♥
ReplyDeleteIs that a dahlia in the first picture? If so, it;s the first I've seen this year so you must have something in your favour!
ReplyDeleteProgress is slow but is there ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd beautiful !
Have a shinny weekend !
Anna
Your flowers are lovely and I can just imagine the frustration you feel in not being able to be outside more. This has certainly been a strange spring. It is snowing just to the west of us in the mountains this morning! The throw you made for Wilbur is just lovely. I’m sure he will appreciate it very much.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Betsy
Your flowers and plants are doing very well! A wonderful gift for your love one!
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers!
ReplyDeleteAwesome throw!
Hopefully you will see some rays of sunshine soon, my friend!
30 mph winds here.... havent been out.
ReplyDeleteHope your weather settles down soon and you get sunshine. Your potted flowers are beautiful. I don't know how you get so much sewing done. Lately I've been sitting in the sewing room staring at what needs to be done, and not accomplishing anything.
ReplyDeleteI hope the weather perks up soon.
ReplyDeleteIt hasn't been good here either weather wise....starts off sunny but nasty black clouds creep up mid morning and it pours down. Although I complain Alicante needs this water desperately as the reservoirs were drastically low! I envy you your sewing expertise and how you can just "run up" a smashing throw like that so quickly.
ReplyDeletekeep well
Amanda :-)
spoiling the grands is what life is all about!! I love that you are creative to do such personalized gifts. I'll try again to send the nice weather, the first time must have been lost in the post ;)
ReplyDeleteIt will all get done eventually but isn't it hard to be patient!! We're in for a run of sunny days. I'll try to divert some out your way.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I do hope you get some warm sun soon. We just had several cool and rainy days but the weekend is supposed to be nice. I'm happy about that! What a cute throw for your little grandson, he's sure to love it. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the beautiful plants. Hope the weather will be better soon..
ReplyDeleteIt's awful when it's always raining and you can't do anything in your garden ! The flowers look very nice and the gift for your grandson is cute !
ReplyDeleteSince 4 days rain is announced fortunately the weatherman is always wrong and the sun is shining !!
Hope you get some warmer and calmer weather soon. Those plants will look lovely near your cottage walls. The lego quilt is wonderful and I love your bear:)
ReplyDeleteI hope the weather improves soon!
ReplyDeleteHope that brisk wind dies down soon. We had terrible winds here the past few days...as if March came back to blow about. Everything will be so cheerful and pretty at the cottage once the plants take off. Another cozy throw for a grand...they must love receiving packages from you.
ReplyDeleteThe weather will change for the better soon. Your yellow Dahlia is just like the one I just potted. Do you do anything to it to keep it growing healthy? Just wondering, I hope mine thrives.
ReplyDeleteNothing like petunias to brighten a pot and the scent from them are so sweet, especially the old fashioned ones.
You are a wonderful seamstress and yes we spoil our grandchildren, we enjoy doing so.
betsy
It must seem especially cruel to have bad weather at your latitude where the summers of are short duration anyway. At least at this time of year you have lots of daylight.
ReplyDeleteWe literally went from snow to REALLY hot, then it has tempered off to perfect. We never have perfect weather, but this whole week has been AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteHope yours improves. Have a fabulous day.
Hugs.
It is Mother's Day here and usually I will buy all of my flowers and start planting them, but it is cool and rainy here. I will wait until next week to get my plants. I hope your weather improves soon. Your flower pots look good at least.
ReplyDeleteI like you flowers and glad you are able to keep them from being too cold. I set my by the garage wall as well when it was chilly here too. Today is quite warm out. I need to move one of my coleus plants from a pail as the others are getting too big and it's not growing well. Need more potting soil too. Have a good week and hope all is going well with Gerard's health and your trips to hospital. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYour plants look like they are doing quite well. I'll make you a deal...you send us some of your rain and I'll send you some sunshine! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI think this is one of the most significant information for me.
ReplyDeleteAnd i’m glad reading your article.
But should remark on some general things, the web site style is perfect,
the articles is really great : D. Good job…

So you just ran up a throw one day. My dear, I would spend a week just trying to figure out where to start. You're a wonder.
