You Are All A Blessing

My goodness, how time flies!   I hadn't realised how long it had been since my last post.  I can with joy report I am still doing well and living a very comfortable life, surrounded by love.  I have had 4 rounds of chemo, whilst it is not a cure for me but it is helping to slow the growth.  I have an oncologist appointment next week to discuss a further 2 rounds of chemo, we shall see.  I now take slow release morphine which helps with the pain, so all in all I am living life to the full the best way that I can.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your wonderful messages, cards and gifts.  You are all a great blessing to me.  I am so glad that I started on this blogging journey and was able to connect in so many ways to some amazing people from all over the world.  It is humbling to know that so many people are praying for me and gives me strength.

I am still working on journaling my bible, it is a great comfort.  Along with some pictures, cards and bookmarks for friends, helping to fill my day.

The church pew has finally been finished and is now in place in our little cottage.  It brings me such joy to look at it and think about the many stories that it could tell.  We do have to move the cushions about when we have company but it is worth it.

I am not going to make promises that I can't keep but I do want you to know that you are in my thoughts often.

See you soon.

What a beautiful pew and the cushions - did you sew them yourself?

  8. Hello my dearest Lorraine. I was so happy to open up my computer this morning and see this post from YOU! Your cards and notes are so beautiful. You truly have an artistic talent. Your Bible journaling will be cherished by Gerrard and your girls someday.
You know Lorraine, I feel so honored to be your friend and sister in Christ. I really believe that God led us to each others blogs so we could be here to support each other through lifes ups and downs.
Dennis so enjoyed Gerrards company and he just told me this morning that we wish we could come visit you both. (And maybe buy a little cottage on your island!)
We're in the process of moving Mom into an Independent Living Facility. This weekend we should be moving her furniture into the apartment and she'll go next week. Then Dennis and I have to empty her house to sell it. Not an easy task after living there for 47 years but she is excited about this next step. Especially no more cooking for just one person. :-) Her sister-in-law also lives at the same place and they are both looking forward to more time together to reminisce and take part in the activities offered.
And now I need to go and take her to an eye doctor appointment. I am so glad that things are going well. Please give Gerard our regards and know that I'm hugging you in spirit. Lots of love and we're both praying for you every day. So is our Bible study group in Spokane.
    Blessings,
    Betsy
