Christmas Is Coming...

I have succumbed, the Christmas music is blaring in the craft room and I am enjoying every moment of it.  I have been beavering away with gifts, cards and tags.  Apart from a little shopping for final gifts they are now complete.  The mammoth task of wrapping begins.  We did debate a cull of the Christmas cards due to the rising costs of postage.  But when we actually went through the list there is  no one we wanted to miss out.

Wreaths are in the process of been made or adjusted.  I am also in the process of making a tree topper rather than put the traditional angel on top.  Time will tell if that one succeeds, the girls like things as they remember from childhood.

Come on in and take a peek, a little glimpse of the works in progress.

Table runners for Christmas dinner are in the process of being made along with mischievous little elves.

It is the most wonderful time of the year...

See you soon.

  3. Things are looking very festive in your neck of the woods. I cut down on Christmas cards a few years ago, I still send to some people but make a donation to charity in lieu of sending to others. I'm actually in the process of shortening the present list at the moment.

  7. All looking Jingel Bell lovely but I don't take my Autumn decs down until next week. I go hell for leather with everything then from December 1 but get the decs out a few days before to check lights, for breakages etc. I LOVE decorating, baking etc for Christmas but feel I can be full on from then onwards. We have most of our boys' gifts bought and I have half of my December Daily (see on You Tube) finished; hope to complete that by the end of next week.

  17. It will be full on Christmas here this weekend with Ruby and DD decorating the tree while I provide hot chocolate with marshmallows followed by a snuggly night in pj's watching Christmas films and eating popcorn. I can't wait.
    I have a few more gifts bought than I did this time last week but still no Christmas sewing done this year. It may not get done at all I'm afraid.
    Loving all your makes. They look so beautiful-x-

  19. I second Granny Marigold. It's inspiring to see your creations. The white ribbon with red print has me curious for a better look.

  20. Nice to see the hustle and bustle of Christmas preparations in your home too. It made me sad to hear a group of senior women at a study this week saying they're sending digital Christmas cards this year instead of writing them out. I tried to inspire them to keep card and letter writing alive to no avail.

  21. I've been making lists and beginning a few projects. Your creations are always wonderful - and I think that it's about time to bring out the Christmas music here, too.

  22. I did a bit more Christmas shopping this week and it's getting closer to the finish line. I ordered my photo greeting cards online Sunday and they are headed my way soon! Free address labels as well! Sweet! Still thinking of prep for thanksgiving and then decorating the house...mostly the tree. Nativity has been out since last year. One of these years I'll get it into the glass case during the year. It's such a task though and may find somewhere different to store it through the year. Our weather has cooled quite a bit since yesterday. Snow in the lower mtns has made it that way which is good! Have fun creating...your projects are so coo! "-}

  24. We in the US have Thanksgiving yet to enjoy and I do love it. In fact, it is my favorite holiday; however, I see no reason why I should not succumb to Christmas music, too. Thanks for the permission!

    You really are on a roll! Impressive.

  29. I adore Christmas and this post is such fun. I've just started to watch my collection of Christmas films starting with Christmas with the Kranks which has taken over from Christmas Vacation as my fave Christmas film. It makes me laugh so much. Tonight's film is mixed nuts you either love it or hate it l I love it lol.
