Seasonal Decor

A busy but contemplative weekend particularly Sunday in preparation for Christmas.  Sunday being the first Sunday of Advent.  We always celebrate with the lighting of the candle and tea, time to prepare for the coming of the Christ child and a time for reflection and hope for the future.

The napkins and cloths have all been washed and are ready for ironing.

The cushions, linens and throws have all been sorted and ready to be placed.

The decorations, tree and baubles are now out of the cupboard and are ready to be unpacked.

The presents have all been wrapped and sorted ready for delivery.
Table presents for the family are ready.
Favours have been made and are ready.

Chaos in the midst of a well planned and well loved event.  The calm before the storm.  It will all come together and it will all be wonderful...patience is a virtue!
How are your plans and preparations for Christmas coming along?
See you soon.

  1. WOW, you are so on the ball. I like the quilt that is almost hidden under your stacks of things, lovely soft colours. Those pink frothy favours are very pretty, how about a "how to" post.

  2. You are already prepared ! You must be very organised with the big family you have.
    I'm starting slowly...
    Have a nice week !

  3. So loved sharing this with you!
Isn't this just the most exciting time!!!!
I'm well on my way, but not quite as far as you!
You are an inspiration, my friend!!!!
    Enjoy! : )

  4. I am almost done decorating, as for the presents I have at least two more to buy and I am done. Now that wrapping....well that hasn't been touched yet!

  5. You are so organized! I am not nearly as far along as you. I haven't bought the first gift yet! You make things so pretty.

  6. Wow, you've worked really hard - well done! I hope you enjoy this special season of advent xx

  7. Oh my giddy aunt, you are well prepared, please can you come here and help .I am so envious. Have a lovely week

  8. It looks like you are all ready to go! We decorated over the weekend and we're done now. It's nice to be able to enjoy it all for a few weeks, so I always try to get it done early.

  9. You are well ahead of the game! Those favours are so pretty!
    Enjoy decorating your home!

  10. You are so organized! I have our tree up but am just starting with the gift appropriation. :-) More decorating to do.. love making the house pretty for the season.

  12. I can't believe that it is December already, but you seem to have everything well in hand :-)

  13. You are totally armed for this great battle! As for me I'm not ready at all. Though my close friend that works as a writer at told she will help me.

  14. I am decorated and loving it. I just get a thrill bringing everything out and seeing the big mess before the big tidy!!

  15. Your preparations don't look chaotic at all, on the contrary, you are so well organised! It has been years since we last had table favours... I am slowly slowly starting to feel the need to decorate. It is a nice time of year. x

  16. My goodness, you are waaaaaaayyyyyyy ahead of me! I know that you are so organised though that you don't surprise me at all. I have sent overseas things and written cards, bought a few things, that is it! Oh well!! Enjoy your preparations!! xx

  17. I haven't done a thing. No decorations at my house. You're well prepared this year. Takes some of the stress off the holidays that way.
    xx Beca
