A Nice Day Out

We have just got back from a wonderful day out to Springfield's, a shopping complex near Spalding.  It was nice to get Mum and Dad out for a few hours, they seem to go out less and less.  It was overcast so the photos are not the best but at least it kept dry.

There are some quite nice shops, not least a M & S which is nice to wander as our local one has closed.  I do enjoy a stroll around the gardens at the end and of course a look into the Craft Room.

There was a sale on so lots of things to browse.  I am unable to share my purchases due to daughters looking at this blog for hints of gifts.

The gardens were a delight to stroll around even at this time of year, but I will let you judge.

They have made a start getting ready for the Christmas season, a little early for my taste but beautiful none the less.

The fountains were a delight to see and of course the ducks were waddling about and also a delight.

All in all a good day out with wonderful company and of course CAKE...  It doesn't get better than that.

Are the gardens local to you showing their Autumn glory?

See you soon.

  4. Such a wonderful day out and it looks like your Mom and Dad enjoyed themselves too. I enjoyed all of your photos. We've had our first snow on the top of Mt. Spokane and it was 19F this morning when I woke up.

  8. those girls are always snooping no matter what the age right? you cracked me up putting it right in your post so they'd get the hint. It does seem a little early for decorations. I'd like to get through Halloween at least.

  9. What a wonderful day you had. I understand about others might see what they shouldn't. I don't know about too early for Christmas personally, at least trying to make things in time but I think we ought to wait until next month at least

  10. I did see many trees in their fall colours while on my morning walk but with heavy rain and strong winds forecast I'm afraid the leaves will all be gone. You had such a nice day and with CAKE too. What could be nicer?

  18. This looks like such a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. I agree about the Christmas decor being too early. It's the same here in the U.S. : ( How blessed you are to have both of your parents with you still. It's hard seeing them get older though, isn't it? My dad passed when he was only 59 so he'll be forever young in my mind. My mother is 70 and she's definitely slowing down due to many health issues. Have a beautiful rest of your week. xoxo

  21. The gardens around have yellow leaves and am missing the colors of my plants. I had daughter bring in items from outdoors since there's a rainstorm coming with some winds. First one of the fall. It's finally here. So glad you had a good time out with your parents and hopefully they enjoyed it as well! Happy weekend!
