I have had a couple of hours in the craft room this morning sorting out Christmas essentials in preparation for card making. I love looking at the different papers I have managed to source, playing around with them so that I can imagine what could be done.
The Christmas toppers have also been separated from the box and are ready to be used.
We seem to be sadly lacking in this area so I have added them to my shopping list. I am hoping I might get lucky either in a sale or at the car boot.
I have also separated the Christmas stamps ready for use on several projects I have in mind.
Ok, I admit it the beautiful materials got the better of me and I did make a couple of very simple cards, just to test the quality you understand.
A fun creative few hours passed. I really should get myself outside and fetch the washing in, but a cup of tea would go down well first and maybe a biscuit or two.
What is the weather like in your neck of the woods?
Thank you for all your wonderful comments, they are all gratefully received. I will take a photo of Honey in the mermaid tail at the weekend and post it so that you can see her. A very warm welcome to a new follower, I hope you enjoy my little adventures through life.
It's rather breezy here today too. I've started thinking about Christmas just lately too, there's a couple of things I want to make and I don't want to leave them till the last minute. Your cards are lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful weather here with a bit of a breeze. Perfect for my line full of washing. Your Christmas tree card is lovely. I expect card making can be a little addictive once you start. X
ReplyDeleteVery windy here today too.
ReplyDeleteOh I used to love making Christmas cards.....but I never used to send any of them....lol.....they were all for commercial purposes and I used to send shop bought ones-x-
Windy but still 'nice' here, a line full of washing too. Love your cards, I'm hoping to start on mine soon xx
ReplyDeleteNice work! Starting to get windy here, wondering how much we'll be affected by Hurricane Matthew.
ReplyDeleteThis afternoon we had rain and the place is much cooler now. Looking at your Christmas projects makes me look forward to Christmas. Time to do some Christmas shopping!
ReplyDeleteNice simple designs, I think they are the best.
ReplyDeleteyou do such lovely work. the weather here is fabulous, cool in the mornings and evenings and warm during the day. Light jacket wearing!
ReplyDeleteI think your cards are simply lovely, my friend. I especially like the tree on the tag.
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been quite chilly here and oh-so-windy! We are already enjoying fires in our wood burning stove and tomorrow it's supposed to snow! I doubt it will sta for long, but my, it seems early this year.
Hugs to you!
Time well spent I think! Your new cards are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWe've had a blustery day here too but its lovely to see the sunshine!
How lovely to spend a few hours playing with beautiful products.
ReplyDeleteToday has been gorgeously sunny, but very breezy this afternoon. I enjoyed a short sit on the beach before my shift today.
Sounds like the perfect morning, with laundry on the line, a bit of crafting, and then some tea and biscuits! Love the cards you created, too! Today is calm here, with a bit of sunshine peeping through clouds, drying up the raindrops. xxx Karen
ReplyDeleteSounds as though you had a lovely morning. Thank you for your comment on my blog about my Holly Fairy. Debbie x
ReplyDeleteA busy day for me too as on a Wednesday the two grandchildren come after school and college for a meal and then my husband takes the grandson to football training. I also had my hospital appointment. It has been windy, but at least dry. It's good to be able to do some crafting as well as the usual household chores. Tomorrow I hope to do some crocheting as I like to make a few squares every day for my latest blanket project.
ReplyDeleteWe are expecting some rainy days due to that big hurricane heading this way. I am on the Gulf side of Florida so it won't be to bad over here.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you,
Meredith
What fun - so many pretty card making supplies. It is finally not raining here, so I am putting my washing out on the line too, for the first time this spring! I cannot believe how quickly you finished the mermaid tail - it looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your pretty papers and embellishments. I used to really be deep into scrapbooking and making cards! I don't have as many pretty papers and things as I used to but you're making me think I should make cards again. Thanks so much for popping in to see me.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Good for you to have so many nice papers and stamps to work with.. I'm glad you've taken time to do your crafting. I love laundry dried outside, but I don't have a line.. wah. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteWe had a very summer-like day today and I just love it. All too soon these days will be replaced by chilly rain.
ReplyDeleteI had never really noticed the 'follower' button but thought I should also click it because I definitely do read your blog! I enjoy reading about your life.
Take care,
How lovely to enjoy a crafting day. You have some lovely papers and stamps to work with. xx
ReplyDeleteI find I suffer from the same ailment of the procrastination-and-mug-of-tea variety! Time seems just to fly by at a moments notice!
ReplyDeleteYou do write the sweetest posts. I can picture the wash blowing in the wind. It is very tempting to stay in the craft room.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards. Now I'm feeling inspired to get on with my Christmas planning and make some cards.
ReplyDeleteA lovely way to spend your time. The cards are absolutely cute ♥

Weather here in Northeast Texas is lovely, very cool and pleasant. In awe of you for getting a jump on Christmas this year. I do believe I'm decorating the day after Halloween this year. I'm cleaning, painting, and purging and hope to have it all done by then.
ReplyDeleteDrying your clothes outside is wonderful! I have not had a clothes line for many years and I miss it! We are getting rain, but no wind so far. Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteI also managed to get a few loads of washing dried on the clothes line this week - not today though, its drizzly and cold in Devon today. I love your Christmas cards! You have inspired me to get cracking on my own cards, perhaps I will spend a lovely few hours in my own craft room over the weekend ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely cards! I have to sort out my Christmas card making supplies. It's on my list of things to do!
