I think it was fair to say that they were a big hit.
Look at him sitting there like a little Prince, he is such a good natured and placid baby. (Me, biased, never!!!!) He genuinely is...
Wilbur wasn't left out, he had a bug set to make using dough. We certainly had fun with that one.
My daughter and I were laughing about the table, that would never have happened without a large cloth or newspaper been put down in her day. Dough was definitely a kitchen activity...how wonderful to not have to worry about little things as a Grandparent.
They are a pleasure to be around and brought sunshine into our weekend. Spending quality time and catching up was such fun.
Oh dear that hurt Granny...maybe empty the animals onto the floor and not onto yourself. He was also a bit disconcerted about how he found them they were not in the same position they were left.
He was very generous sharing some of the bigger animals with his brother.
Ok just one more...
A wonderful weekend. How did you spend the weekend?
See you soon.
What a lovely weekend, you can see they enjoy visiting x

Hello Lorraine,

We went away for the weekend to Germany to go to a music gig and enjoyed our stay in a lovely hotel. Yesterday we travelled home along the small roads to enjoy the scenery! :)

All the best Jan
You and your family always have such nice visits together. Your girls and their children love you very much. I really like your tag blankies. You know what's funny, my daughter has one that she has always called her "rag." It's a bought one with Winnie the Pooh characters on little ribbons sticking out and she has had it since she was a tiny baby. From the time she could speak, she called it Rag, as if it's named that. :)
ReplyDeleteCan I come and play at your house please!!
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful family x
ReplyDeleteSuch cute fabric for the baby things. And the bug maker for Wilbur - what fun! I am going to look for the kit for my little grandson. He would love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat joy - how special
ReplyDeleteWe had a busy weekend with a family wedding, our annual Canada Day family BBQ and out-of-the-province guests.
ReplyDeleteSo true! Grandparents have usually mellowed a fair bit and so can relax and enjoy the grands more than perhaps they enjoyed their own children. I very much want to try making some of those tag blankies.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful day! The children are so cute!

Had to laugh at your comment about the table! Yep, grandparents seem to allow all kinds of thing that their children weren't allowed to do! Part of the joy off being a grandparent, heh? Your little ones are all so precious. What a blessing.
ReplyDeletewhat little cuties! you are a lucky granny to have those two visiting you.
ReplyDeleteYou have some cute grandchildren...but you knew that didn't you? :-). Isn't it amazing that things, like tables, we thought were important when our children are small, become next to nothing with our grandchildren. I can tell that yours love being with Grandma. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
