I was a woman on a mission with the quilt but got sidetracked today by my husband. He is having a flare up and is in a lot of pain so needed some help with a project that he had started. We have had a magazine table which was in very poor condition in the shed for quite a long time. My husband had lovingly repaired the damaged table and stripped the veneer ready for painting.
Several hours later, two coats of paint and a waxing sees a table that would have gone to landfill restored to its former glory and now taking pride of place in the craft room.
I do wonder how long it will take me to fill this work space to the same capacity as the rest of the room? My dear husband thinks minutes rather than days...I think he is cheeky! What do you think?
Back to reality and sore fingers I have a quilt to finish.
See you soon.
I think you better fill it with a topic like books or boxes of materials quickly. If you are like me spare space gets filled with clutter. Don't let the clutter get there first.
ReplyDeleteGreat restoration. Go on, admit it, you've fill the table already - I know I would have done.
ReplyDeleteHa, ha.....he sounds a cheeky momkey just like my hubby.
ReplyDeleteLovely job on the table and a very useful addition to your craft room by the looks of it-x-
Such a shame about the whales, fingers crossed that more don't suffer the same fate. Your table looks fantastic and if you are anything like me it won't take you long to fill it. xx
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear about the whales. They are sometimes found on our beaches and the marine biologists try to understand what is going on, tissue samples are taken. I never have heard any conclusions.
ReplyDeleteYes, your husband is being cheeky. Ha! Flares = no fun. Hope that he is feeling better soon.
That table is great! You folks did a wonderful job.
So sad about the whales. Beautiful job on the table, I love to see things restored and re-used. I'm sure it will take you a while to fill it... CJ xx
ReplyDeleteYou've given the table new life. It looks like it will serve you well for a few more years.

ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I will be interested to know if the scientists can figure out why the whales are in trouble. I am sorry your husband has been unwell, and I hope he feels better soon. I am so impressed with how your project turned out! You may be able to exercise organizational restraint, but I would probably take minutes to fill it up :) xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful job!! Use it in good health!! I'm so sorry your husband is under the weather. I'm sending him positive thoughts.
ReplyDeleteWe've had problems with whales beaching themselves here in the U.S. It's just so terrible. I believe the military does a lot more training exercises in the ocean then they let us know about and it's horrible for the marine life. Have a good weekend!! xo

What a nice save on the table. We have had some ocean animals washing up on our beaches too. So sad and a mystery.
