I have not been out to collect twigs, so the tree décor is still in the packaging. Some spring décor has been done but the bulk of it needs twigs.
The Singer base is exactly that a base we haven't been able to get out to sand the table top, another project unfinished.
The plan is to sand this table top, stain it a dark mahogany and attach it to the Singer base, giving the table a new lease of life as it is in such a poor condition right now.
Whilst the dog has been taken out for walks in between the downpours we have not had a long leisurely walk all week.
Not sure that he is really bothered some how!
Finally, the rain has stopped the builder repair a wall that got knocked down by another workman who came to service the boiler, he knocked it down reversing out of the drive. It took awhile to get the insurance claim sorted and now rain has stopped work.
Five things that I have been unable to do this week because of the rain.
1. Gardening
2. Spring/Easter trees
3. Sand the table
4. Take the dog for a long walk
5. Have a wall rebuilt
I am once again joining Amy over at Love Made My Home for the weekly get together, pop over and see what the others have to share.
This morning I woke to a hard frost, no rain a bright sky and no rain clouds. The dog is going for a good walk whether he wants to or not I need some air. What is the weather like where you are?
See you soon.
The sun is on its way I think? Our garden is a quagmire as well. The grass is in danger of becoming quicksands! Hopefully you will have a better weekend. B x
ReplyDeleteAnother dull and damp day here and it looks like it will continue for the next week according to the weather forecast. It's all indoor gardening in the garage area and covered yard here The plants I bought yesterday are on the window sill away from the wet, the slugs and they give me joy as they brighten up the place. Glad it's a better day for you with the weather. A walk sounds like a good idea! Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat Photos, thanks for sharing! I must admit I've never heard of an Easter tree, am I missing out?
ReplyDeletehope you have an excellent weekend,
All the Best,
Fast-SoS
"Whether the dog wants it or not"? Is he really likely to argue? :) Enjoy your walk.
ReplyDeleteHow I wish you could send some rain over to us. The weather here is very hot, probably for many months! The ducks are enjoying the puddles of water and your dog is enjoying its sleep!
ReplyDeleteBless you, your hound looks gorgeous and so snug :-) Its been horrible here to high winds and rain but yesterday we had blue skies and sunshine and today is dry and mild and its set to last for a few more days :-) Hopefully you will be able to get your 5 list done very soon. Enjoy your walk I have been across the fields today it was lovely, dee x
ReplyDeleteVery misty here up until now but the sun has just come out. I haven't an ounce of energy today with this horrible cold so my outside jobs still won't get done.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.
Hope your week-end will be shinny !!!!
ReplyDeleteMine will be :)
Hug
Anna
We have to get some more Spring like weather soon, I am longing for some brighter days when I can get out for walks without wading through mud! Have a great weekend. xx
ReplyDeleteIt is a bugger when rain stops play, have a nice weekend x
ReplyDeleteAlthough the weather hasn't been too severe this winter it has certainly been frustrating. So many times we have abandoned plans for days out, walks or gardening. The sun is out today and it feels milder so hopefully the drier weather will stay with us:)
ReplyDeleteI'm fed up with all the rain, it looked like the sun was trying to put in an appearance an hour ago but it's clouded over again now. Your doggy is so cute. Archie hates going out in the rain, he takes one look out the door, turns round and comes back in again.
ReplyDeleteGood weather is coming I promise! Adorable eggs in those pastel hues will look lovely on twigs!
ReplyDeleteThe dog has it right - just relax!
Sorry you've had so much rain, it begins to get you down after a while. We actually need a bit of rain, my husband is tired of watering everything.
ReplyDeleteIt Looks like you are having some nasty weather. Hope it clears up soon. Thanks for visiting my blog Living Life On Main Street and the nice comment.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get a spell of dry weather next week, at least the ducks look happy
ReplyDeleteJill
I think it's all set fair now, so hopefully we will all be able to get outside and do what needs to be done. Wishing you a good weekend. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteHa! This sounds like our week here in the state of Washington, too. I keep making last minute runs when the rain subsides and the winds decrease. Hope your weather cooperates so you can get your list completed...
ReplyDeleteThanks for you visit to my five...
we had glorious weather while we were in NYC (hence the quick plan to go to nyc). I enjoyed being outside and in sunshine!! right now the sun is shining and I have a few windows opened to air the house.
ReplyDeleteWe had lots of sun actually, I'll sent some your way its not that far ;-)! Your dog is such a sweetie lying there... Have a great weekend, love from Mirjam.
ReplyDeleteSounds very frustrating! Boo rain! Let's hope next week is better x
ReplyDeleteThe weather can be frustrating in many ways!
ReplyDeleteYour dog looks perfectly comfortable where it is - I think I recognise a "do not disturb" look on its face!
We had sun here today, it was so welcome after the months of endless rain. Hope you manage some of your jobs over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the sun will appear soon so that you can get on with all your work. We're expecting some much needed rain here this afternoon. Is that a little Poodle I spy? Such an adorable little dog. I used to have a little black poodle when I was young. Have a wonderful day! Hugs, Pat
ReplyDeleteOh dear, it sounds as though your week has been rather like mine with many local difficulties to getting things done. I hope that next week will be better for you. We need to get into our gardens don't we! Thank you for joining Five On Friday, I hope that you have a good weekend! xx
ReplyDeleteWe're having similar weather.... sorry you had to postpone all those plans. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteWe've had a couple of gloriously sunny days this week, which makes a change from the usual rain that we have!
ReplyDeleteYour Easter "trees" are going to be great! Love the sweet pup...reminds me of a poodle my husband's family owned when we first met! The Singer table is going to look awesome when you get it done.
ReplyDeleteAfter our fierce wind storm yesterday today was a quieter day. My daughter and GD still are without power. Rain is in the forecast for the coming days. I'm wishing for sunshine.
ReplyDeleteBoo for bad bothersome weather that ruins everything! I love the photos of your sweet poochie though. ;) Mild temps here for being of the north - and I'm loving it! Have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteI will swap you our dry for your rain in a flash. Your dog is so sweet. I hope you both enjoyed your walk.
ReplyDeleteRain, rain go away - that is what I have been saying for two weeks now! My gardens are in need of a good weeding and I can barely get out to feed the birds in between downpours. At least the ducks and your sweet doggie are making the best of things! xo Karen
ReplyDeleteI know that it's not nice to laugh.

Hope the weather improves for you soon, we've been lucky this week here in the UK fog in the mornings but then lots of sunshine
ReplyDeleteClare xx
Give me cold and bright any day over grey and damp! This week we've had snow, sun, fog and rain :-) I hope it perks up so you can do what you want to do (and the dog is happy too!) xx
ReplyDeleteWe were the same on Friday a really hard frost but beautifully bright day. Otherwise, we have had the rain all week too, it's so frustrating isn't it? I can't wait t get out in our garden too. I hope you are having a great weekend xx
ReplyDeleteAlternating sunshine and rain showers is the weather here. I doubt there will be a hard frost - we've had a very mild winter and spring has arrived early. Trees are leafing out. I hope your weather improves and that you can accomplish some of your outdoor tasks this next week.
ReplyDeleteRight now it's raining. Again. There was a storm on the coast on Wed with high waves and winds. Next day, which was planned, my daughter and I went to the beach and the weather was nice! Back to Oregon rain for awhile. I did buy 3 new plants and 12 strawberry starts yesterday. May have to move them to drier area but don't want to get wet! The mallards are lovely in your photo though! Hope things clear up a bit for you ...even though March weather can be quite iffy! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHow frustrating for you. Here in Liverpool it's dry and feeling warmer. I've just had my first gardening session - always alarming when you realise how much work needs doing.
ReplyDeleteOh dear........like the saying.....when it rains.......it pours. You have certainly had enough it seems. Hope this finds you with better circumstances and better weather
