One more cut should have all the colour out and then I can make a decision on the style and re-grow it a little if I want to.
Rain finally ceased on Friday so we have spent some time out in the garden clearing the pots and beds of weeds and turning the soil. The soil is still very heavy, so it was hard going. The lawns are still too wet to cut at the back but we are hopeful that today we might be able to cut the front. Time will tell. At long last we have made a start on the seeds, a little later than normal but at least they are done now.
Every window sill has a tray of seeds on it, not the homely look I want at the moment but it is what it is. We wanted to give the seeds a start in the warm before going outside either to the greenhouse or direct to the pots.
The art board is now hanging in the craft room and already in use.
The awful weather that we had last week, kept me indoors and busy. The house has had a good spring clean and an attempt at de-cluttering, there is still a way to go but already there is enough to do a car boot sale.
I have also made another batch of cleaning cloths, they are always useful and in constant use.
I have been busy sorting out storage yet again, so transformed some old biscuit tins.
Covering them with some scrap book paper and labels they now look quite stylish and perfect for the craft room.
I have crocheted some headbands in preparation for my new Grandaughter. Thank you so much for your lovely thoughts and prayers for Amie. She is still been monitored regularly but is at home on bed rest so all is well at the moment.
Finally I have been busy with the sewing machine and made a stack of bandanas for Hector. They are going to Disneyland Paris in the summer so I thought Mickey Mouse and Toy Story were needed.
The builder is here at the moment, rebuilding the wall at the front so all is well in my little world. What is happening with you?
See you soon.
Well you have been a busy bee! Loving all your creative makes and what a good idea for the biscuit tins 😊 Have a happy week, xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab way to use up some scrapbook paper and re-purpose empty tins.
ReplyDeleteThe little headbands and bandanas are so cute I love them.
Have a great week-x-
Nice to read about the happenings at your place. I love to buy seeds to plant but most times they won't grow. Love your headbands, bandanas and the empty tins turned into collector's items.
ReplyDeleteI was not as busy as you....Your creations are lovely and your new haircut very stylish !!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a fun week !

A lovely happy post, I'm glad all is going well for your daughter xx
ReplyDeleteI've been busy sorting seeds too, not as busy as other years though now that we no longer have the allotment, it's going to be very strange this year. Love all your makes and glad to hear that Amie's going on okay.
ReplyDeleteLooks as if things are picking up and that you have found your springy step. I have two little cans on my kitchen sill and I agree with you, they are quite "the look." I have a number of friends who are doing what you are...deciding to stop coloring their hair. It is always fun to watch the progress. Cute haircut for spring and summer! Darling little headbands for a coming granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteGrey is the new blonde I understand.
ReplyDeleteA lovely look on you!

Oh...your talent!
ReplyDeleteI am in awe!!!!
Enjoy your week, my friend from across the pond. : )
I am a fan of short hair too...your cut is really cute. And I also think that if you are letting your gray gray out, short hair is the way to go!
ReplyDeleteYou are looking so youthful with your new haircut it really suits you!
ReplyDeleteI love the recovered tins & the Disney bibs for Hector!
Have a good week!
Glad to hear that things are going as well as they can for your daughter, I hope that things stay that way. It is so good to be able to get out into the garden again isn't it, things will only get better! xx
ReplyDeleteI like all your creations!
ReplyDeleteIt is exactly a year now since I had my long hair cut to ear length and although I liked that change for a while I am very glad it is at last long enough so I can tie it back when I cook or garden etc.
Have a great week.
You've been busy and your hair looks great!
ReplyDeleteGood to see your hair growing out.. you will love having your own color and be natural. I think hair dye is not good for you, personally. I did a stint of doing my hair burgundy colored and remember the pain and agony of doing roots and all. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteI did that five years ago had a short do colored hair now its natural with bits a grey here and there but i dont i did think it was kind of strange at furst tge grey lol. But hair us long down to mu seat end. Love the hair bands so sweet. I cant wait to start digging again. Just a bit more a its spring .. Have a goid evening with love Janice
ReplyDeleteI love your hair. I'm embracing my greying hair and find that , for me, a good haircut is more important than the colour of it. That's a great makeover on the tins.
ReplyDeleteGood grief you have been so busy!!! I still havent put any seeds in, must get some in this week, well done for doing yours.
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great, it is a real pain getting old and having to decide when to go au naturelle - my brave sister, 6 years younger than me, did it a few years ago but i still sport the grey badger look most of the time as I'm pants and keeping my hair coloured! But I have gone a lighter brown/dark blonde so that it doesnt show so much and to save money that I'd rather spend on fabric I always colour at home.
Love the recycled biscuit canisters, great idea.
Have a good week!
Gill xx
I love your hair without color! Keep it going :) I've never started dyeing my hair so I have the grays interspersed in the brown already. Love the little headbands, too cute!!
ReplyDeletebiscuit tins have become so sweet.
ReplyDeletesnowy greetings

I admire you for letting the color grow out of your hair. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to do that but have been thinking about it. You look cute! MY...you have been a busy bee. I love your inside projects. You must have a large garden. Do you have lots of sunshine to grow all of your goodies? We have too much sun in the front and too much shade in the back. We have one strip that does well with Jimmy's tomatoes and onions and cukes....that's about it. I do have 4 blueberry bushes in the back where there is enough sun, but see that we lost one this winter...sigh. Lavender does well in the front with all the sun as do roses. Happy gardening and crafting.
ReplyDeleteso great to see a picture of you, and your hair progress! It's going to look great. The bangs take the longest. And I'm with you -- I love the color, it's the short, short hair I'm having the hardest getting used to. I want to grow it a little, and then I'll feel "done." Congratulations on getting so far along!
ReplyDeleteYou are certainly inspiring with all the things you get accomplished! Good idea with the biscuit tins.
Ooo well done! You are a busy bee! I think my craft room might need some of those storage pots :)
ReplyDeleteAnother busy week for you and lovely to see so much achieved. The repurposed biscuit tins are a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI hope Amie's pregnancy continues without anymore problems.
It looks like you've been very busy! Lots of lovely makes and how nice to see a photo of you! You look great.
