Magical Disney

I have finally started to sort out some of the photographs from our very magical holiday to Walt Disney World.  With Sim cards from 2 cameras and over 1500 professional photographs taken on the memory maker photo pass there was a lot of pictures to view and moments to re-live.  My daughter is having the professional photos put onto a USB stick so that I can have the ones printed for my scrapbook.  For now I will share some of the highlights from our camera.  We were blessed with the timing of our holiday as it covered both Halloween and Christmas.  As you can imagine the decorations were a feast for the eyes, a real delight to see.  Our two Grandaughters were enthralled and in raptures about everything, both my husband and I feel blessed to have shared such special moments with them.

Just a little glimpse at some of the décor, it really was breath taking.  We were blessed to enjoy the switch on of the Osborne lights in Hollywood studios, 3 million lights were used to decorate the façade of San Francisco.  A truly memorable moment.

Characters were in abundance and the girls were happy to join a queue and wait patiently for their turn.  Magical experiences for us all.

We met up with the main man Mickey Mouse several times and were mesmerised by the encounter with him at the theatre in Magic Kingdom, he actually talked...does it get any better than that?

The shows, parades and fireworks were also a thrill.  One of the most magical moments was when the girls were taken to the floor in the Lion King show, budding actors in the making.

Food as always played a very important role in our holiday with some wonderful experiences, such as T Rex where there was a meteor shower every twenty minutes.  The girls also got to make a dinosaur, give it a heart and dress it.  A beautiful souvenir to  enhance a wonderful  lunch  and record a lovely event.  I am sure they will be loved for a long time to come.

The Rain Forest Café, Boma restaurant on the Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort and the Boardwalk were also highlights of the holiday.  Not forgetting the wonderful anniversary surprise to the Polynesian resort for the luau.

There were some musical moments....

...some great dance moments...

and some wonderful moments for reflection...

All in all, a wonderful, magical Disney holiday that was so much more than words can ever express.

See you soon.

  5. You were lucky to come THIS year. This is the last year for the Osborn lights. Glad you got to see them.

I love the Halloween decorations along Main St. I love how the "carve" the pumpkins to match whatever business they are in front of.
