I made that sound like a chore, I can assure you it wasn't. It really was a pleasant few hours. The next task is to sort through the yarn and match the chosen patterns to appropriate yarn. I am hoping that I can use yarn that I already have and therefore do a little stash busting in the process.
These are a few that I have picked out, now I need to get those fingers working.
As you can see, not a lot of progress made on the shawl. I did however finish reading the Snow Geese, it took awhile to get into but is well worth the read Williams Fiennes has a rare talent for descriptive writing and takes you on a mesmerizing journey.
I am once again joining in with Ginny at Small Things for the weekly yarn along.
See you soon.
I am so envious of you having such a lovely craft area.........

ReplyDeleteIt's a good feeling when everything is sorted and has its place. That takes time. After so much spinning my hands now want to crochet and knit again.

Oh golly, Christmas! I tend to start thinking of Christmas around August time - you are super duper organised! You've inspired me though to crochet something for someone as a Christmas gift, rather than sticking to my comfort zone of knitting - thank you :-)
ReplyDeleteyou are SOOOO good thinking about holiday gifts....and now is the time; I'll probably put this off until I'm panic knitting (like always)
ReplyDeleteIt is so fun to plan isn't it? Can't wait to see your projects.

Fantastic! You are getting so organised. I always plan to do that every year, but somehow it never works out! I really must learn to crochet, looking at those cute little penguins.
