My husband and I are going to make a mini break out of it and have a few days finishing our Christmas shopping. We also plan to have an afternoon tea in one of the famous tearooms. Outfits are already been planned. I have also made a start on a Christmas brooch ready for the occasion.
The light is not showing the true colour of the yarn it is indeed a Christmas green. I intend to make a holly brooch to adorn a plain red jumper. Christmassy without too much fuss.
I am thrilled and thank Gem for this wonderful opportunity. I will of course take the camera and report back on all the wonderful goings on. I am having a wonderful day, amazing how little things can brighten your day.
See you soon.
little pluses always help

ReplyDeleteHow fun and congratulations! I think tea would be a wonderful thing. Both times I visited England I tried to have teatime and both times I was defeated by other schedules. Your brooch will be a lovely touch.

ReplyDeleteOh I have to say I am SOOOO envious. I subscribe to Country Living and have done for about 8 years. My Christmas planning/organising begins when my December copy hits the flags! I would LOVE to go to one of the Christmas fayres but living in rural mid-Wales it is such a trek, I wouldn't drive and the train is a bit pricey. Hope you have a wonderful time and look forward to photos.x

ReplyDeleteCongratulations and have a wonderful time! If you have time Valley Gardens or RHS Harlow Carr Gardens are both worth for a visit. I spent quite a lot of time in Royal Baths Hospital as a teenager and we used sneak into Valley Gardens to escape after treatment was over!
