Five on Friday

What a wonderful week, amazing what nice weather does for your spirits.  The rain has stopped and the temperatures are starting to creep up, long may it last.  I am joining Amy at Love Made My Home for the weekly get together, pop over and see what everyone has been up to.  This week I am sharing five things that have made me smile.

One

The warm, bright and sunny weather has brought people back out into their gardens, including me.  It is so nice to hear the hum of mowers, the chatter of little ones and music playing once again as we stroll through the village.  My garden is starting to look a little more presentable and starting to show a little colour.

Amazing what a little sun can do.

Two

The sun continued to dominate my week and make me smile with the return of the horses calling into the local for a pint.  A regular occurrence in the summer and one that always makes me smile.

Three

The tandems back out, always a sign of good weather and consequently making everyone smile.

Four

I was able to get the bed linen out on the clothes line to dry, the smell of fresh laundry, bliss!

Five

Due to my daughter and husband having to attend a funeral I was blessed with looking after Wilbur for the day.  What fun we had enjoying the garden, the park, the beach,  soft play and crafting.

Every super hero needs a nap...Granny did too!

Welcome to new followers, I hope you find something to enjoy as I continue my little adventures through life.  As always thank you for your lovely comments, my husband was thrilled with all your best wishes thoughts and prayers.   The good news the steroids are helping and he is able to walk a little now, the power of prayer is an amazing thing.  Hope you can find something to smile about.

See you soon.

  1. It's good to see the sunshine, the colour of flowers blooming in the garden, washing on the line, villagers getting out and about and your little one having a lovely time with you in the garden and at the beach. An endearing photo of Wilbur having a nap. So glad to hear that your husband is a little better too. Indeed lots to smile about.

  2. It's been glorious, hasn't it? What a cutie Wilbur is, sad that your daughter and her husband had to attend a funeral but lovely that you got to spend some time with him. I love getting in to a clean bed with linen that's been dried outdoors, it always smells so fresh.

  15. Such wonderful photos!! You need to send some of that nice weather to New York!! We are on day 5 of rain and clouds. In all honesty, this is my favorite kind of weather so I'm not complaining too much. : ) We visited Ireland years ago and I remember seeing so many people drying their clothes out on a line. It's not as popular here but I absolutely love it. That last photo of your adorable grandson is the best!!!! LOL!!!! What a perfect day you two had. I was tired just reading about it!! LOL!! Have a wonderful weekend!! xo

  21. Thanks for sharing all the things that make you smile. It's warmer here today which is nice as the other day I turned my heat on again for a little bit and pulled my jumper out again! I think we are done with the snow now so we are getting the porch ready to be able to sit on and enjoy the sunshine.

    Have a great week

  28. I shall be able to get to my washing line this week so bedding will be washed, dried outside and put straight back on the bed. After which I shall have a shower and get into a clean nighty and have an early night to read and enjoy the smell of outdoors. Utter bliss.

  37. We have had more than a week of cold and rainy weather. The sun peeked through just after dinner last night, but I am looking at rain right now. I really enjoyed looking at your sun-filled days. I remember riding tandem bikes when I was a pre-teen. I loved them. Wilbur is adorable. So glad you had some time to spend with him.
