Five on Friday

I have had a busy week this week with jobs at my parents house, restocking the freezer and life in general.  None the less it has been a good week, not a lot of crafting done but a good week.  Consequently my five on Friday this week is five craft projects that I intend to start/complete next week, all bagged ready to go.

Mt first project is a quilt for Honey my new Grandaughter.  The fabrics have been selected and the outline plan drawn up.

My second project is to trim some guest towels, always fun to play with trims.  I have actually made a start.

Victoria and Mike are taking the boys to Disneyland Paris in January, it will be cold at that time of year.  She has asked me to make a blanket for Hector in keeping with the theme, so I am going to trim some red fleece with Mickey Mouse fabric and then embellish a corner with a large Mickey Mouse head.

To ensure warmth I am also in the process of making a crochet zig zag blanket to match using Arran wool.  It matches the fleece perfectly the photograph for some reason is not reflecting the true colour.

Finally, my fifth project is table runners for my dining table and coffee table in preparation for Autumn using a beautiful burgundy fabric and Harris Tweed covered buttons.  Hopefully there is enough of the Harris Tweed to make a couple of coasters too.

I am once again joining Amy over at Love Made My Home for the weekly get together, why not pop over and join in the fun.  I have my daughter Amie and her little family arriving today for a short visit in celebration of my Birthday tomorrow, I am 21 again!  Lily my eldest Grandaughter thinks that is a big number so I wonder what she would make of my real age.  As you know I always visit each participant of the link party but I may be a little late visiting this week, I am sure you will understand that family time is precious.  Have a wonderful weekend.

See you soon.

  47. Happy birthday! Hope you had a wonderful day. Wow, that's a lot of projects. You inspire me to get off my computer and get some things done. I have yarn for socks and material for pillowcases -- a big deal for me, and will take awhile. Have to figure out a good, easy sock pattern as I've not done it before. Any suggestions? I'm looking on Ravelry in the beginners section :)
Those buttons will be beautiful, and what a good idea for the towels.
