She is one gorgeous baby, although I may be a little biased.
She is sporting a spectacular matinee jacket knitted by her Great Nanny using the same pattern that she used for me coming out of hospital. Times haven't changed much then in 21 years...
We did the usual rounds of soft play, fish and chips, beach and ice cream parlour with Bertie introducing Honey to lots of firsts. Bertie and I shared hot donuts and ice-cream and had a lovely walk around the Life Boat Station at Skegness.
A trip to Granny's always includes some sort of crafting, so we made wooden spoon puppets and did a show.
Yes, I do know its not Christmas, but Santa had come on his holidays to the seaside. We also had fun with the cars and a measuring stick, imaginative play at its finest, although not a very flattering photo of me.
I had a lovely visit from Lucy and her little family on Sunday which was a great surprise. She even bought a beautiful array of food with her for afternoon tea. I was blessed with a robot that the girls had made.
It was nice to get a photo of four generations...
...and a rare photo of my youngest sister who hates having her photo taken.
Crafting is always on the agenda when I have little visitors, so little trinket boxes were duly embellished by Lily and Daisy.
All in all a wonderful weekend, with lots of amazing memories to treasure and reflect upon. I am truly blessed with a loving family and for that I will always be grateful. It has taken me the best part of the day to do the laundry and get the house back into some order but it really was worth it. Another photo of Honey Rose just because...
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and once again thank you for your comments and best wishes, they are truly appreciated.
See you soon.

ReplyDeleteSo glad that your birthday celebrations went so well. Those grands sure are cute.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely birth-day you had with family and your latest granddaughter! Sweet times. I'd think craft time with grandchildren would be fun. Not sure if that's on our agenda here as we always play adult card games and kids play in the living room. One of these times I'll come up with something for them to do. They usually draw or color which is interesting or play with toys. Happy week!
ReplyDeleteHappy Late Birthday! It looks like an absolutely amazing time with your family. I especially like the four generation photo. I have learned those times together should never be taken for granted and I can tell that you enjoy each and every moment you all have together. Such sweet grandchildren

It looks like you had a lovely weekend . . . so many beautiful children. I love how creative their play is . . . hands on fun and no computers. When my granddaughters visit they want to make crafts with grandma, too . . . and the times doing that together are priceless. Happy birthday, sorry I'm late:)
