We had the most wonderful surprise, or rather I did as Gerard knew all about it. On Friday Victoria and her little family arrived on the doorstep such a wonderful way to celebrate Easter. It was also to have a surprise Birthday party a little early as I am going to be 60 next week.
A trip to Granny's means crafting. This time decorating some paper mache eggs:
A ride on the horse:
Helping Grandad with the trains:
We did cram so much in as it was Mikes first trip to the Island, he like the rest of us fell in love and is already planning the next trip. We were blessed with some wonderful weather which is always a bonus, cold but dry enabling us to get out and about a little. We became intrepid explorers, exploring the local area. First stop Eoropie beach, we had such fun chatting and making plans for the summer as we strolled along. There was so much to see and admire.
Eoropie Dunes Park was next on the list, just in time to join in the egg hunt. A wonderful community event that the boys loved.
It certainly is one of the best parks that I have ever encountered, designed by the children themselves. It was a joy to see the boys faces as they raced around on the hunt for eggs. Our final destination was a beautiful cove before you get to the lighthouse at the Butt of Lewis.
Once again thank you for all your messages and comments, I will catch up with you all as soon as I can.
See you soon.
I must have missed your last post so am catching up

ReplyDeleteI just read your comment on my blog this morning. We are not selling our big camper at the lake. This is the little trailer we bought last year to take short trips with and we have never used it. I’m hoping a nice young family will want to buy it and make wonderful memories with it. Have a lovely day my friend. Give Gerard my best.
Blessings, Betsy
