Wrap up warm, buckle up and I will take you on a little jaunt and you can see for yourselves the scenes from my week. The beauty that I am blessed to see on a daily basis, each day a changing scene as we go through the seasons.
A sprinkling of snow making the ordinary into a spectacular Winter Wonderland. The dramatic skies and cloud formations adding to its natural beauty.
Come on in and I will put the soup on to warm, today we have parsnip and ginger with cheese and onion bread fresh out of the bread making machine. The stove is lit so take a seat and warm up while I get it ready.
To close Mickey says hello, here he is having a romp in the snow laden garden.
Thank you all for your lovely, uplifting comments they are all greatly appreciated,
See you soon.
Oh doesn't it just look wonderful. So different to our outlook at the moment which is mud, mud and more mud....even though it is snowing.
ReplyDeleteThat soup sounds amazing.
Hugs-x-
Beautiful scenery but I think you'd need a bobble hat if you went out in it. Micky looks as though he was enjoying it. Thank you for the recipe of your creamy chicken and leek pie, we're having that Monday instead of cold chicken and SW chips! Can't wait, but no cream I am back on the SW plan.
ReplyDeleteI think we all have weeks when we feel we haven't achieved much, what a wonderful place you live in, I am so jealous, its just so beautiful. xx
ReplyDeleteOh, what lovely photos! I really enjoyed virtual tours so much! The cloud formations are just amazing and Mickey looks so cute!
ReplyDeleteOur animals are just like kids, aren't they? "Mama, can I go out and play in the snow"?
ReplyDeleteEven my fat lazy black cat Pepper found a way to slip between my legs and out onto the patio this week. He didn't stay long, but seeing it from the window is just not the same as experiencing it firsthand.
While I, on the other hand, did not leave the house for six days except for one trip to the mailbox.
Bitter cold for five days and then yesterday it was 53F and people were out in short-sleeved shirts when I went to the market.
Beautiful to look at, but I don't like living in it, hate driving in.
ReplyDeleteIt does look beautiful, lovely photos thanks for sharing your week. We rarely get much snow and it's very restricting when you do. We take so much for granted such as being able to continue life at ease. You've made me hungry for your soup. Mickey you look adorable, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty scenery. Amazing what snow can do to ordinary landscape. I like the snowman. And Mickey having fun in the snow. Yum lunch sounds delicious!I need breakfast. Yes I'm better still tired though. Thanks for prayers and the hug. Made my morning! Hugs back to you!
ReplyDeleteThat Mickey sure is one handsome gentleman. And wow.. it looks good and cold on your island! I enjoyed all the photos, the colorful clouds and the ocean scenes. And thanks for the invite for soup and bread by the fire! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteThose clouds are fabulous! So dramatic and ever changing. Of course I love the snowman. I adore snowmen. Mickey looks like he's having a wonderful time too. I think island life suits you all just fine doesn't it? Thank you for the invitation for soup and bread. I sure wish I could just pop on by for a bowl full.
ReplyDeleteBlessings always,
Betsy
Beautiful rocky shoreline and clouds. What a place to live!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures !!!
ReplyDeleteHave a cozy weekend !
Anna
My goodness, your beautiful scenery certainly warms the heart. The clouds are magnificent over the ocean. What a big snowman with such a little snow! Thank you for the soup and for the lovely views. Have a happy weekend. ♥
ReplyDeleteOh my, your pictures are oh-so-wonderful!! I debate with myself about which I enjoyed more; the ones taken from your windows or the ones taken along the way to water's edge. The ocean is frighteningly beautiful. Could I learn to live there, I wonder... Thank you for inviting us in for hot soup; just perfect for a blustery day, for sure!
ReplyDeleteOh, what stunning photos, my friend! I so enjoyed seeing the beautiful scenes. And that snowman is too cute!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you!
You live in the middle of such rugged beauty. No wonder you like to stand at the window and take it in.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful scenery! It's amazing to watch a place change through the seasons. I admit that, for years, I didn't pay much attention and took it all for granted, but when you actually take time to pay attention it's amazing how the scenery changes with the seasons. However much I dislike winter I can say that it is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for taking us on a photo journey!
ReplyDeleteI'll be right over for the soup, sounds delicious. The scenery is amazing, although we have enough snow for everyone!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Thank you for sharing. ~Dazee~
ReplyDeletebeautiful photos! i want to visit a place where i can relax and get away from the city life once in a while :)

It's not too deep which is a blessing, just enough to look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery, even though it looks very cold! I follow another blogger who lives on the Isle as well. I think he has taken photos of similar views! Of course I could be completely wrong...
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and nice to return to homemade soup and bread:)
ReplyDeleteSome beautiful photographs. I love to see how the scenery changes throught the seasons The snowman is fantastic! That must have taken a lot of rolling. X
ReplyDeleteMuch as I love all your scenic photos, my favourite is the one with the enormous snowman!!
ReplyDeleteToday also here in London was snowing! :(
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures dear...
That's Amore Blog 💕🌸💕🌸💕
Such an incredible place you live! So beautiful, and a wonderful time to stay snuggled closely to the fire enjoying your soup and bread! Praying you have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteIt's all so extraordinary kisses
ReplyDeletelove your snowy days :) Hi Mickey!!!
ReplyDeletehmmmm, I can almost smell that soup and fresh bread. You do have such a lovely view. I noticed some of the houses have two fireplace chimneys. Is it common to have an extra fireplace in a house in your area?
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful and varied scenery delights all of us. Thanks for sharing it with us. The soup and bread sound like the perfect meal after being outdoors!
ReplyDeleteMesmerizing view and amazing place. Pictures are very beautiful!

That's very pretty, don't know if I would enjoy all the cold with that snow. Very much a summer girl I am, though the last few days have been very hot in New Zealand, and I was moaning about the heat too.
ReplyDeleteLoving all your snowy photos and the beautiful scenes even though it is cold. We don't get to see these scenes here. I too would love a bowl of warm soup now!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a big snowman. I'm not a fan of snow unless I don't have to go out in it but it does look so pretty. It looks like Mickey's happy to play in it but Archie's like me, he doesn't like going out in it either.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely walk around, Lorraine. I agree that those clouds are magnificent and so was that giant snowman! The soup and fresh-baked bread will be wonderful too, I know!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful walk it was with you! Such amazing sights to see everywhere! I must admit I love seeing the sea, it is just so beautiful with the different cloud formations on it! I agree with you that every day offers up new delights in the world around us! I would love to sit down with a cup of tea with you while you fix the lovely lunch you mentioned. Hugs to you today :)
ReplyDeletewow, that is an impressive snowman! Hello to Mickey :-)
