We went into the garden centre for lunch and had a lovely ham baguette along with the novelty of chips served in a terracotta plant pot, perfect for the setting. It was a joy to watch Honey eating her lunch, she is certainly growing up fast.
We really enjoyed watching Honey in the little soft play area available in the garden centre. She can certainly get about despite not walking as yet, she cruises around the furniture and soft pools.
Victoria Mike and the boys arrived Friday night and stayed for the weekend, it was lovely to catch up with them and have so much fun with Wilbur. Rhyming words is a game that we enjoyed playing and so much fun to hear the laughter. Hector cut another tooth whilst he was here, he is suffering a little, bless him and seems to have a constant dripping nose at the moment. He is cruising around the furniture and is almost walking, rather than crawling he shuffles around on his bottom.
I feel blessed to have such a wonderful relationship with all my daughters and their little families. We will be catching up with Lucy as we are planning to stay with them for a few days on our way up to Scotland. Lily was 6 on Friday it just doesn't seem five minutes since she was born and we were driving down the A1 to see her, how time flies.
Ged has been watching the football this afternoon so I have sat with some crochet making a facecloth all ready for our new home and adding a crochet border to a flannel.
See you soon.
I love how it says 'Honey' on the photo just behind her, so cute, your grandchildren are just so lovely. Love the rich colour of your crochet, very pretty facecloth xx
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you to be able to spend so much time with your family. Grandchildren are just the best! Your three are so very cute. Thank you for sharing them with us. And I love the honey behind Honey! Your washcloth and flannels are just beautiful. It's such a gorgeous red. Thank you for sharing your weekend with us. Blessings, Betsy
ReplyDeleteYour littlies are adorable! I'm glad you're getting to see all your girls and their babes before your move. Very exciting to be able to watch your move and we don't have to pack a box. LOL! Your crochet is gorgeous. I am watching "The Crown" on NetFlix so in other words, I'm spending the day with Queen Elizabeth. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteyour grandchildren are just adorable and thanks for sharing their photos. They grow so fast. Our oldest will be 9 in May! I remember when her dad was that age! Sigh! Good times though. I'm pulling out my first knitting project today. If I don't start now it will never get done and sent to a friend. Out this afternoon for some photography work for 52 week challenge. Find a cool door somewhere. I'm glad you're nearly finished packing and waiting for the move. Exciting! Oh yea, need to finish my tea I had with lunch. Yummy! Have a good week! We're waiting for "Call the Midwife" to be aired in the USA. Right now I'm still watching "Where the Heart Is" on Acorn TV via Roku, a streaming device. It's set in UK and I enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteLovely pics of the little ones.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed lunch with ours today enjoying the first time of Marlowe sitting at the table in a high chair while eating out. She was so cute-x-
Such beautiful grandchildren! One of the first things I always order when we're in the UK is a ham baguette, I love them.
ReplyDeleteHector and our little Sarah have common experience at the moment. Sarah has had some miserable time teething, and she scoots around in sort of a seated position and enjoys cruising, too. Your stitching is lovely, and I am so glad you are having lots of good visits with your family as you prepare for your move.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy watching Call the Midwife too.
ReplyDeleteThe grands are so sweet. Your crochet projects keep on coming. You're a busy woman.
Such sweet babies to hug and snuggle. I envy you that. Our six grands are growing up so fast and the youngest are already 3 and almost 4. They grow up way too fast don't they?
ReplyDeleteYou are indeed so blessed with such adorable and cute grandchildren! It is a great privilege to watch them grow up. I like your crochet projects. Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delicious looking lunch made all the better with a family visit. Right. Bargains are not bargains when nothing is needed...not many of us figure that out.
ReplyDeleteI used to meet up with friends at Springfields, my granddaughters loved the sales and would have a good long look round before spending their birthday money. Birthdays in early January are very convenient for bargain hunting. Your little ones are delightful and look very happy.
ReplyDeleteSo you called the midwife ! I first thought it was reality until I read it was "watch" lol !
