She was such a good girl, taking it all in her stride with no tears at all and then promptly fell asleep, as did Hector. It was so lovely that Bertie was included in the service too, he promised to help look after his sister. He loved getting together with his cousins and having a good run around at the reception afterwards. There was a lovely park and a bouncy castle at the venue to keep all the children amused.
I couldn't believe how much Hector had grown, look at him sitting up in the swing. The afternoon tea was a joy to behold, my favourite traditional meal. There was so much choice with all the mini cakes, so I had to try them all, it would have been rude not to.
It was lovely to get together with the girls for such a wonderful occasion.
That is one proud man with all his girls.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your lovely emails and comments it is so nice to know that we are in your thoughts and prayers. It certainly has been a difficult time but I am hoping that the funeral for my nephew may bring some inner peace on Friday. I will try to catch up with everyone next week when hopefully things have slowed down a little for me.
See you soon.
A beautiful christening. I'm with you on the cakes.

A beautiful christening indeed, and so poignant to celebrate a new life in the same week that you have to bid goodbye to an older one. I was thinking of you yesterday (Friday) and do hope that it went as well as it could. Such sadness. Take care. x
