Watering Hole Frolics In The Sun

The mini heat wave continues here on the East Coast of England, with people flocking to the area for the sea, sand  and sunshine.  The local pub has been doing a roaring trade with the sale of their cold drinks.  However, it was quite the surprise when the local stables stopped in for a pint...

Well, it made me smile, it's not something you see everyday. Has the sun created any amusing scenes in your area?

Thank you for all your lovely comments, it is such a honour to hear from you and a very warm welcome to new followers.  I certainly hope you enjoy my little adventures as I go through life, living life the best that I can.

See you soon.

  1. We are also having a heat wave, very unusual for late June and early July in Oregon.. we're used to cooler weather and much more rain. I hope you keep cool and have a happy July. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  2. That's funny! You're right, it's not something you would expect to see. I'm in the middle of the same heat wave that Teresa is in. Record breaking temperatures, and no rain in sight. I hope you manage to stay cool in the midst of yours!

  4. How cute! Actually, I have seen cowboys ride their horses to Denny's, but I do live in Texas. That's kind of common around here. Stay cool!

  10. Now there is a sight I would not see anywhere in my suburban Long Island area. How fun. We have been unusually cooler here on Long Island this year. Enjoy the heat while you can, it is better than cold and rainy.

  15. We are also having heat wave over here. Some of my plants suffered heat stroke and are drying up. I am spending more time in the house and less time in the garden to avoid the heat.

  17. Like Teresa K and others above mentioned we are unusually HOT and DRY here near Portland, Oregon. I did chuckle the other day when coming out of the gym after swimming. There was a lady in front of me who was walking with her umbrella up to protect her from ....the sun! [really unusual here !!!]
