There were also some wonderful plant arrangements to add to the charm.
Finally, some of the shop windows that were a joy to admire. The rustic charm of some were a delight and reminiscent of bygone times.
I am now going to get showered and into my pj's so that we can enjoy some carols and a film or two together.
Wishing you and yours a Wonderful Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.

ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas x
ReplyDeleteI like the lobster pots around the tree. Oh a nice tea and coffee merchant store!I'd love shop there and drink there too? I had a really tasty black tea with lunch with our family today at a restaurant. Loose leaf tea even and cheaper than iced tea or soda. We'll be watching a movie later on. Merry Christmas to you and Gerard. Hugs and blessings across the waves!
ReplyDeleteHave a very merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteI do so love those window displays and the lobster pots were a lovely touch around the base of that big tree. I can just imagine how cold it must be though compared to sunny/hot Queensland where I live. Also just popping in to thank you for your comment on my blog; yes the sheet music fabric in my secret santa gift was just a perfect background. I've never seen fabric like that, but then again, I've never looked for it! lol
ReplyDeleteOh, lovely. I hope you're making the most of this time of year. Happy Holidays.

Merry Christmas!! I do enjoy visiting your space and reading about your life adventures :)
ReplyDeleteHappy after Christmas to you, Lorraine.
ReplyDeleteIt was great fun reading and looking at all the photos from your adventures. I also know what you mean about not blogging as mine has been sporadic in recent weeks. We were "on the road" for 3 weeks from after Thanksgiving till the week before Christmas. It wasn't a vacation, but an extended road trip that included checking the VA house and getting some minor repairs completed, then learning the closing date would not happen aa expected (extension requested). We saw friends in DC and attended the USAF band holiday concert as well as attending our granddaughter's 1st birthday party in PA. Like you, we were home in time to set up our holiday decos a few days before Christmas and then to spend the holiday in our own place (first time in several years) and that was great!
Thanks for all the wonderful posts about your travels and spending time with family. I hope that the coming new year holds wonderful surprises in store (all good).
Merry Christmas and Happy new year! Beautiful Christmas decorations!
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful, those shopfront windows - so much thought and effort. I cannot choose a favourite. It is so nice that you share part of your life online so we can see what it is like to have Christmas in your part of the world.
ReplyDeleteI hope your day was wonderful. All the best xx
Hope you had a lovely Christmas! xx

ReplyDeleteCharming town. I love window shopping, especially at Christmas when they are decorated as sweet as the ones you have shared. Happy Christmas Season. Betsy
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing the windows, as I didn't get out much this year. Besides, our mall just doesn't do as much as prior years.
ReplyDeleteWe're having record low temperatures here in the US, and it's putting a cramp in our style.
Glad you're home. Missed your posts and jaunts around the island.
