Yarn Along

Despite having a busy week, I still managed to finish the lacy shawl that I started last week.  Well, almost finished it still needs the ends sewing in.  It was an easy crochet, using only chains and trebles, a simple pattern that you can watch the TV with.

Ta Dah....

 
The edging was worked into the rows at the end, I thought was a really pretty effect.
 
 
Definitely something that I would do again.  I intend to get going with another Autumn/Winter accessory and then pick out the easy/quick patterns out that I can do a lot of for gifts.  Yes I am thinking Christmas already I need to as I have so many people I like to make a gift for.
 
 
This week I have started to read The Snow Geese by William Fiennes.  I haven't really formed an opinion yet its too soon but I am finding it a little difficult to get into, time will tell.

    beautiful shawl and my you made that quite fast. I'm hoping that I'm done with a shawl by next Wednesday...fingers crossed.

    how pretty! love the blue! I am thinking of Christmas presents too; to make things takes time, esp. when there is a list to think of!

    My favorite kind of crochet project - something that has a border built in. This one is just lovely. The scarf I began this week is my first Christmas present I've started working on. I'm feeling behind already. :^(

    The Shawl is lovely and I love that minty colour!!! I must get that magazine out, I also wanted to have a go at that one. I recently made one of her patterns (from last summer) called the All at sea shawl, I will post about it soon.

    Beautiful. I'm in awe of people who can make such gorgeous items while watching TV! I have to totally concentrate.
