Willow Activity Farm

My goodness what fabulous weather we have been having for the past few days.  Such perfect timing for us to get all our outside jobs done.  A fence repaired, the grass cut and pulling the final harvest of herbs and rhubarb before the weather turns tomorrow.  I did leave a lot of herbs drying in the kitchen prior to our break away, so they are now dry and have been rubbed down and bottled.

Today was the annual tractor run which meets up and drives around the district to help a local family in need.  Such a fun event and for such a worthy cause.  Everyone comes out to watch the tractors drive past, so lots of chat and laughter.  Neighbours getting together and chatting, it is quite the event.  Here are some of them, Gerard still hasn't got one, in truth he doesn't really need one but men and their toys...

Another one of our little adventures out whilst we were away was to Willows Activity Farm featuring Peter Rabbit and his friends.  It as a well laid out park with lots of fun things to do over and above the traditional farm which actually we all enjoyed.

We bought the food bags so that Honey and Bertie could feed the animals which they did without any fear at all.  Even Gerard could be seen petting and feeding them.

There were several shows throughout the day featuring Peter Rabbit and friends which was fun, encouraging the children to shout out.  A little like a traditional pantomime.  I think Honey enjoyed it more than Bertie but he is a good big brother.

There were lots of opportunities for meet and greets.

As well as umpteen play parks, indoor soft play. a digging area, funfair rides, bouncy castles and panning for gold.

Lots of fun and laughter along with wet clothes.  Another highlight was the maze called the A- maize-ing-maze such fun.  It was a wonderful day out with plenty to do to fill our day.  Perfect for little ones I don't think it would be suitable for Bertie for much longer.  It has given us so many wonderful memories of another adventure of which we will treasure as we start to prepare for the changing seasons.  Fun in the sun.

Thank you for your visit and for your comments, they are so greatly appreciated.

See you soon.

  4. Wonderful autumnal activities with the darling children. Are you sure Gerard doesn't need a nice vintage tractor so he can be one of the guys? :-) Dayle has a Kubota one to keep our pastures mowed and it performs lots of other farm duties. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  10. Delightful fun for little ones. It is a special time of life and outings like these create special memories. As you mentioned in your previous post, you don't need to spend a lot of money to have fun. I'm sure the children have loved being the centre of your attention. So important for their development to know that they are valued and loved. What lovely times you have had.

  13. That looks like so much fun. Great that someone is getting nice weather. We have gotten so much rain over the last few days the poor farmers can't get in the fields.

    God bless.

  14. How nice that all of the menfold take their tractors to help their neighbors. That's as it should be but sadly, it seems to be disappearing. Dennis enjoyed seeing all of the tractors. :-)
We both enjoyed seeing Bertie and Honey at the fun attractions. Bertie does seem to be a good big brother, patiently doing things with Honey. That is so good to see too. We both smiled at the dressed up characters passing out hugs to the children. So much fun for all. Thank you for including photos of yourselves. It was very good to see both of you.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  19. That tractor "parade" looks fun! :-) My husband would definitely do that :-) Love the Peter Rabbit meet and greet too, one of my favorite stories from childhood. Great memories with the little ones too! But they sure do grow up quickly! Enjoy the rest of your day and have a great week ahead.

    Blessings,

  22. I'm glad you got some outdoor tasks done around the house when the weather was fine. I hope it lasts for you. The outing with the grandchildren must have been a lot of fun. The tractor event for a worthwhile cause demonstrates what a hard working, caring community you're part of. Have a good one whatever you're doing this week.

I had a girlfriend that love me so much but something terrible happen to our relationship one afternoon when her friend that was always trying to get to me was trying to force me to make love to her just because she was been jealous of her friend that i was dating and on the scene my girlfriend just walk in and she thought we had something special doing together, i tried to explain things to her that her friend always do this whenever she is not with me and i always refuse her but i never told her because i did not want the both of them to be enemies to each other but she never believed me. She broke up with me and I tried times without numbers to make her believe me but she never believed me until one day i heard about the DR.
