Table Top Treasure

This morning found us at a loose end due to the weather, it is drizzle and mist again.  This is stopping us working on the garden so we went to the next village along for the church table top sale.  I am so glad I did.  We chatted with some friends and had some beautiful homemade cake and coffee and managed to grab a couple of bargains as well so well worth going.

My husband picked up the only Bernard Cornwall book that he hasn't read and a John Stack book for 50p each.

I bought 4 packets of Christmas card embellishments for the bargain price of 20p per packet.  Perfect for this years cards.

I was thrilled to find a couple of vintage postcards to add to my little collection, again 20p each.

I saved the best until last, a beautiful brand new set of Celtic rubber stamps in a wooden box, complete with booklet for the amazing price of £2.

I was thrilled with it and a real bargain, I intend to try them out later today.  Did you manage to bag a bargain today?

See you soon.

  2. Brilliant bargains. Why do I never bag anything like this when I go to these type of sales. I haven't found any bargains today, I've been waiting in for the boiler repair man to come.

  3. The stamps are wonderful. I'm a big fan of Bernard Cornwall books too, though he's so prolific I've fallen behind.

  7. I love finding good books for cheap! Those postcards are so pretty. Your post makes me want to scour thrift shops. No recent bargain finds for me, but then I haven't really been shopping much lately. Maybe I'll hit some yard sales this weekend and see what I can find! Have a good weekend. :-)
